Samsung Galaxy Note Edge FCC listing reveals support for AT&T, US Cellular LTE bands

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge fans in the U.S. are in for some good news, as the device is apparently destined for AT&T and US Cellular.

Not too long ago, news surfaced that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge would be available only in limited quantities, seeing a limited edition launch rather than a wide release. Availability is believed to vary depending on region, and many assumed that the Galaxy Note Edge would go down the same path as the Samsung Galaxy Round that launched last year.

Nevertheless, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge may be heading to the U.S. soon, as the device was just spotted at the FCC.

As GforGames points out, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge dropped by the FCC with model number SM-N915A, and it looks like it has support for AT&T and US Cellular's LTE bands. More specifically, the Galaxy Note Edge will come with support for LTE bands 2 and 4, which are for AT&T, as well as 5 and 12, which are for US Cellular, the FCC listing reveals.

On the other hand, this doesn't necessarily mean that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will indeed hit the U.S. through AT&T and US Cellular in the near future. The handset is just gearing up to debut outside of Korea this month, as it will reach Japanese carrier KDDI on Oct. 23. The Galaxy Note Edge may see a wider availability outside of Asia after that, but nothing is for certain at this point.

The FCC listing suggests that the Galaxy Note Edge is getting ready for an imminent launch in the U.S., but it's tough to tell anything for sure until Samsung makes an official announcement.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and an intriguing curve. Under the hood, the handset packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC consisting of four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.7GHz, paired with an Adreno 420 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 3GB of RAM.

Other specs of the Galaxy Note Edge include a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Android 4.4 KitKat on the software side, with Samsung's latest TouchWiz UX version on top, among the highlights.

We'll keep you up to date as soon as more details become available regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's release in the U.S., so stay tuned.
