Walmart has just announced that it is launching Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare one day ahead of the official release, i.e. on Nov. 3.

Moreover, the retailer will also kick off expanded used video game sales and neat special events scheduled for the launch of the popular first-person combat game. Walmart is now selling certified used video games at 1,700 of its U.S. stores, continuing the used game trade-in program it started back in March.

As part of the retailers festivities for the launch of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, trade-ins will be worth 50 percent more credit on Nov. 3 and 4, i.e. double their value, if traded in for the new game or for a new PlayStation 4 console.

"It's game on at Walmart today. The retailer announced that it will offer 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' 24 hours before the official release. The Day Zero Edition will be available to customers starting at 12:01 a.m. local time on Monday, Nov. 3 in more than 3,600 stores. Timed to the release of the highly anticipated game, Walmart unveiled that it has begun selling certified, pre-owned video games in 1,700 stores," reads the press release on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

"With 117 million gamers in the U.S., we are constantly looking to provide new and game-changing offerings to those customers," adds Laura Phillips, senior vice president of entertainment at Walmart U.S. "We've said that we would focus on the $2 billion pre-owned market, and we're continuing to deliver that today. Now, customers will be able to visit Walmart for all of their video game wants - whether they're buying a hot new release like 'Call of Duty' or purchasing a pre-owned game at a great price."

When it comes to special events, Walmart will host in-store events in more than 2,800 stores starting at 10 p.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 2, for the launch of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. These events will include early play tournaments in select stores, as well as customer giveaways such as free Call of Duty posters and patches.

Moreover, the game will also come with a neat exclusive for Mountain Dew or Doritos fans. More specifically, players will have access to an in-game exclusive exoskeleton with the purchase of Mountain Dew or Diet Mountain Dew 24-packs and specially-marked Doritos products, Walmart further announced.

The new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition will launch with a $59.95 price tag, and interested customers will also be able to order the game online from Walmart and have it available for same-day pickup on Nov. 3.
