The LG G3 is considered one of the hottest smartphones currently available on the market and now it has a new color option, launching in a Blue Steel avatar.

The latest flagship smartphone from LG made its debut back in May this year, launching in black and white color options at first. Since then, the LG G3 has become available in gold, red, and violet paint jobs in addition to the original color options, bringing more variety to suit more tastes.

The color palette of the LG G3 is now expanding even further, as a new Blue Steel color option is in tow for the smartphone. The new model, however, is currently exclusive to the U.S., and is only available from Best Buy.

On the other hand, Best Buy is offering the LG G3 in Blue Steel on a choice of carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, or Sprint. When it comes to pricing, this model costs $99.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract with one of the three carriers, which is $100 off the regular on-contract price. The handset is also available for $699.99 outright, with no annual commitment.

Aside from the stylish blue coat, the LG G3 remains unchanged in terms of specs and features. This means that it comes with the same QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels spread over 5.5 inches of screen real estate, and it packs the same powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz under the hood.

Other notable specs of the LG G3 include a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, dual LED flash and optical image stabilization, a 2.1-megapixel front shooter, and a large 3,000 mAh battery to keep things up and running. On the software side, the handset comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but will soon receive an update to the very latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.

As previously mentioned, Best Buy is exclusively offering the LG G3 in this Blue Steel color option on AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon Wireless. All three carrier models are currently listed with a "coming soon" label at the time of writing, however, with no mention of when they will actually become available for purchase.
