Samsung Galaxy Tab S hits T-Mobile on Dec. 10
Alexandra BurlacuT-Mobile has officially announced that it will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab S next week, on Dec. 10, with its Uncarrier plans.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S made its debut earlier this year as a 10.5-inch slate with a Super AMOLED high-resolution display and good specs all around. The tablet is now ready to hit T-Mobile's network soon, launching next week both online and in retail stores.
"Just in time for the holidays, T-Mobile's tablet lineup is getting another jolt with the addition of one of the season's hottest tablets. Starting December 10, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be available in participating T-Mobile stores and online for $0 down (and $27.08 a month for 24 months; $649.92 FRP)," the Uncarrier announced in a press release.
"Tablets top the list when it comes to tech products consumers want to receive as gifts this holiday season (according to CEA's 21st Annual CE Holiday Purchase Patterns Study) and only at the Un-carrier can customers get the best tablet plan in wireless - on the nation's fastest 4G LTE network - when they purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab S."
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S comes with a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a sharp resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood, clocked at 1.9GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM.
Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 64GB, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter. In terms of connectivity, options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE. On the software side, the tablet comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
As T-Mobile further points out, interested customers can also add a tablet and match the data on their Simple Choice voice plan and get up to 5GB of data per month specifically for use on the new slate. This would be in addition to the data already available for a phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S product page is already live on T-Mobile's website, albeit it currently lists the tablet as "coming soon."
