New Moto G (2014) now $149.99 from Amazon ($30 off) – Today only
Alexandra BurlacuMotorola's new Moto G (2014) is widely considered one of the best budget smartphones on the market and the handset is now available for $30 off from Amazon.
Last year, Motorola shook the budget smartphone market to the core with its highly-affordable Moto G, raising the bar in terms of what cheap smartphones had to offer. The original Moto G quikly became the company's best-selling device, clearly proving a great demand in this segment of the market. Building on the success of the original Moto G, Motorola launched a new iteration this year.
The second-generation Moto G launched earlier this year takes things to the next level, boasting notable improvements over its predecessor while still retaining a budget-friendly price point.
The new Moto G (2014) launched with a $179.99 price tag, delivering performance and functionality that are typically above the budget level. The handset comes with a 5-inch display and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage capacity. The new Moto G also comes with microSD support for additional memory, something the original Moto G only gained in the subsequent 4G LTE model. The smartphone launched with Android 4.4 KitKat on board out of the box, but was one of the first devices to receive an update to the very latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.
As part of a limited-time offer available today only, i.e. Tuesday, Dec. 9, Amazon is slashing $30 off the normal price of the new Moto G (2014). This means that the smartphone is now available at an even more affordable price point of $149.99. The new price is valid for the US and global GSM versions.
It's worth pointing out that the new Moto G will not work on CDMA networks, which means that it will not be compatible with Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Virgin Mobile, or other CDMA carriers. The handset will work well with AT&T, T-Mobile, and any other GSM carrier out there. Amazon is selling the unlocked model of the device, therefore no contracts are involved.
To take advantage of this special deal and grab a new Moto G (2014) for a discounted $149.99 price, head over to Amazon's product page at this link. Remember that this is a limited-time offer and the smartphone will return to its regular pricing on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
