HTC should announce more details regarding the One M9 U.S. launch on Wednesday, March 18, according to a new teaser from a company executive.

The highly-anticipated HTC One M9 made its official debut back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 and should hit retail availability soon enough. HTC offered no specific launch details at the MWC, but the handset is nonetheless approaching its commercial release.

The HTC One M9 already started shipping in HTC's home country of Taiwan, and should expand its availability to other regions shortly. When it comes to the U.S., it seems that HTC will reveal more details about the One M9 launch on Wednesday, March 18.

More specifically, HTC America President Jason Mackenzie took to Twitter to tease an upcoming announcement for the U.S., relating to the HTC One M9.

"Going to be an exciting week. In addition to NCAA tourney, HTC has a BIG announcement for US customers on Wednesday. #HTCOneM9," touted Mackenzie.

The executive did not specifically reveal what the announcement will refer to, but the #HTCOneM9 hashtag clearly indicates more news about the new flagship's release in the U.S.

The company should offer an exact launch date and pricing details for the HTC One M9. Details should include pricing and availability for the unlocked and developer editions, as well as the carrier versions of the smartphone. All four major U.S. carriers will offer the HTC One M9, but no specific timeframe is currently available as to when AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile will actually start selling the device. So far, the carriers offered only a vague "early Spring" timeframe.

HTC's upcoming announcement should also shed some light on the storage matter, clarifying whether the HTC One M9 will come in one or two internal storage configurations. Just recently, the company confirmed that the One M9 will launch in Taiwan in both 32GB and 64GB versions, but it remains unclear whether the higher-capacity 64GB variant will be available in the U.S. as well.

No other details are available at this point, but the big announcement is just around the corner. We'll bring you more details as soon we hear more, so make sure to check back.
