Bluboo releases a doppelganger smartphone
Mary Cris BalancioIn a battle for today's market, technology firms have been outwitting one after the other to produce the next smartphone that the public will fall in love with and patronize. We have seen big firms such as Apple, Samsung, LG and Motorola recently launching their latest product all hoping to entice people to become their next customer. Joining them, is the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Bluboo.
Bluboo has just unleashed their new device called Xtouch into the public. You might be surprised at how the smartphone looks like. At first glance, one might immediately say that it looks to be an upside down version of the latest Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It looks fabulous with a clever mirrored curved rear panel which is made using a 3D printer - a first in the industry according to Bluboo. The rear panel is shown in a video that it can be bent and is extremely resilient.
It seems like the trend now is to show how resilient a certain smartphone is, Bluboo also shows the public that their Xtouch smartphone is tough by putting it under a hefty slab then was struck with a hammer. This test of durability was done not once, but twice to show how much a survivor the Xtouch is. As if they were not contented, Bluboo also designed and fitted Xtouch with a metal body which is around 7.5mm and a Gorilla Glass 2 2.5D screen to make it even more resilient. It's so strong that the chance of breaking it is decreased to about 60%.
Xtouch has a 1080p resolution and runs on a MediaTek octa-core processor with a RAM of 3GB. It also has a Sony 13MP, a 0.03 second auto focus time and an 8 MP wide angle selfie cam on the front. It also has a home button that was fitted with a fingerprint sensor; a multi-use sim tray that can take a microSD card to increase its standard capacity of 32 GB internal storage and will run on Android 5.1.
Bluboo said that their Xtouch phones will be priced at 100 USD through their voucher redemption offer for the first 3,000 buyers. But buyers don't need to worry as it still is relatively cheap with its normal price of 180 USD which is still a good deal considering its features.
