Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has been making a buzz throughout the online world as latest details reveal that it will be released in the third quarter of the year. So, what to expect from the upcoming new device?

According to The USB Port, Microsoft might announce the release on the much awaited Q4 event. After that, it is expected that they will launch the product anytime between June and October.

Even though the previous model was only launched in October 2015, the website believes that they might risk the idea of releasing it soon because of alleged dissatisfaction from the Surface Pro 4 owners.

As for the features and specifications, the Surface Pro 5 might address the issue about the battery. Notably, some of the consumers allegedly complained that the device is only lasting up to 5 and a half hours compared to the promise of 9 hours.

The website also expected that the Redmond-based company will make Surface Pro 5 70 grams lighter than the predecessor with a weight of 798 grams. The issue with the cooling fan experienced with the Surface Pro 3 and 4 will hopefully be addressed as well.

As suggested, the Surface Pro 5 should have a fingerprint scanner for added security. Meanwhile, users might see a USB Type C- Port device. The price for the upcoming hybrid tablet/ laptop is speculated to be at approximately $899.

On the other hand, Dispatch Tribunal reported that UK customers could get a free dock and pen kit when they buy a Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book. Amazon has also launched a discount sale of Surface Pro 4 variants.

The site noted that a $200 price cut was applied on two of the Surface Pro 4 variants while the other variants that have a 512GB, 16GB RAM, Intel Core i7e have received a $211.51 price cut.
