Google Nexus 7 2016: Top Specs And Features Likely On Board With Android N Beta Release
Dheeraj RThe second day at the ongoing Google I/O Developer Conference 2016 marked the release of company's new operating system, Android N, which has given a quick sneak peek into the probable features of the technology giant's upcoming device, Google Nexus 7.
Wired reported that the technology giant released the beta version of the new Android OS and thus highlighted the power packed features that the Google Nexus 7 device will incorporate. The reports suggest that the Android N will majorly focus on performance, graphics boost, and security service. In a way, the upcoming Google Nexus 7 device will also be high on all the above-mentioned parameters.
The new operating system is reported to include a new API called as Vulcan, which is expected to make the Android N more smooth, lean and fast as compared to its predecessors. With the new API, the Google Nexus 7 users will experience faster download and easier installation as the application size is expected to be trimmed down by 50 percent.
Yibada reported that the main aim of the Android N is to focus on productivity of the devices. The reports have tipped that the new OS will provide a Split-screen support and thus enable its Google Nexus 7 or tablets user to view apps side by side. It has also been reported that this new spec will also be included in the latest Android TV and will be named as Picture in Picture.
According to Google, the updates and security patched required by the OS will be downloaded and installed automatically, as it is focused on providing enhanced security features to the Google Nexus 7 users, reported The Verge. The company revealed that the users will experience a flawless update service with the launch of Android N.
Further, the new operating system will also feature a new file-based encryption system as opposed to the block-based system, in order to provide tough security measures to all its devices.
Besides, Tech Spot reported that Android N will power a new platform called as Daydream, which will work with a new Virtual Realty mode and thus, will improve the performance inside headsets. Another feature is the flexibility to long-press on each notification in order to control how the user will receive alerts from the installed apps in future.
With the probable specs and features trending all over the internet, few reports also suggest that the Google Nexus 7 device might be launched on the last day of the expo i.e. May 20, 2016, with two variants i.e. 7-inch and 5-inch.
In addition, the latest reports have also claimed that the Android N OS will release most likely release in early June or perhaps later and will roll out immediately to the Nexus devices. Also, Google has not announced any official name for its new operating system, Android N.
