Microsoft Surface Pro 5 To Feature 4K Ultra HD Display
Dheeraj RWith all the release date reports of the Microsoft's much-awaited, Surface Pro 5, trending all over the internet, few reports suggest that the laptop-tablet combination device will feature exceptional specs like 4K Ultra HD display and Kaby Lake processors chips in its upcoming latest version.
TCC reported that the new device will include 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution as the company will release the device with 4K Ultra HD display. There are reports that Microsoft will also unveil its next-generation Kaby Lake processor at the upcoming company's event, Computex, which is slated to take place on May 31. The Kaby Lake chips are expected to be included in the device so as to provide an enhanced graphics facility to the users.
Besides, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released in two variants. One of the variants is reported to consist of similar specs like that of Surface Pro 4, but another variant is expected to be unveiled with a 13.3-inch screen display with a high cost as compared to its predecessor. The BitBag reported that the device will also consist of USB Type C-Port for fast charging and a Corning Gorilla Glass to prevent screen damage.
Moreover, Christian Daily reported that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will feature a metallic design. Also, it is expected that the size of the new device will be comparatively smaller as there will be a reduction in the overall thickness as compared to its predecessors.
The release date rumors suggest that the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to hit the markets in the coming month i.e. June. Earlier, there were reports that Microsoft was planning to release its fifth version of the tablet-laptop device in October because the company wanted to release the device with the latest Windows 10 update.
PC-Tablet, however, reported that the tech giant has now contracted its product cycle to set the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date in the next month and will announce the same via Worldwide Developers Conference.
In addition to all the specs and release date rumors, few reports suggested that Microsoft is also currently working on another device, Surface Book 2. It is reported that the company is planning to release the Surface Book 2 one month after the launch of Surface Pro 5 i.e. July 2016.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 regular version is expected to be priced for $899 while the Core i7 variant will be made available at $999. Also, other reports suggest that an advanced version of Core i7 variant will be priced at a whopping amount of $1,599.
