Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.2 Patch Update Aims to Improve Post Game Experience

Ubisoft will be launching a 1.2 patch update, 'Conflict', for Tom Clancy's 'The Division' early this week. The developer promises to deliver more fun and exciting updates for its open world third-person shooter game.

Tom Clancy's 'The Division' launched with much fanfare in March, breaking sales records. However, players were not too happy with the overall game, due to numerous glitches and bugs, Eurogamer reported. Most of these glitches were fixed, but players are still unsure about the future of the game. Ubisoft is hoping to turn the tide with their latest patch, 'Conflict'. "We created that beautiful world that players really enjoyed exploring during the levelling experience, but it's true that when you reach the end of the game, there is not much to do in the open world." Ubisoft's Quentin Correggi said in a Special Report live stream.

Loot system changes were made, and Ubisoft said that the loots will be more generous compared to the previous system. Game Rant has a detailed rundown on loot changes.

Included in the update is the addition of new Incursion, Clear Sky. Ubisoft has also discussed a Hijack feature that allows players in the Dark Zone to cut an extraction rope, sending tons of loot up for grabs. The update also includes the addition of 'high-value targets'."The HVT officer inside your base of operations will provide you with a list of these targets, along with a description, their level, and the recommended gear score you need to engage them," Ubisoft explained. "You'll have a limited amount of time and only one chance to take down these targets."

The patch also introduces another mission type called 'Search and Destroy', which involves taking out groups of level 30 enemies.

An all new set of gear will also be made available: Predator's Mark (Striker), Hunter's Faith (Sniper), Lone Star (Survivor) and Final Measure (Defuser).

The release date for the patch is on May 24, Tuesday, Gamespot reports, and will be released on the Playstation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Ubisoft hopes that the patch is enough to entice players who have quit to come back and play the game again.
