Skylander Battlecast Is Like Hearthstone But On iOS and Android

This must be a great news for avid fans because Skylander's Hearthstone-like mobile card game, called Battlecast, is now available on iOS and Android. 

The Verge reports that Battlecast was created to reach out players by the use of "popular Hearthstone formula" and includes more classic RPG-like elements in mobile phones. Just like the popular game, the mechanics are composed of players that must choose three characters each for the battle in "turn-based combat".

Gamers may change the front line character, but the website pointed out that it "affects the kind of cards that can be played, as each character represents one of eight different 'elements"'. The first group to knock out the enemy by casting spells wins.

There are 24 characters and up to 300 cards in all to choose from. The overall visual appeal is said to be superb but players may not have to worry because it will not affect the quality of the game.

As for the price, Skylanders Battlecast is free to play. However, those who would like to complete the collection of digital cards will need to spend money and time.

How? The game have a thing called "virtual currency" and gamers may earn it by playing matches. They need to have at least 500-1400 coins which can be used to buy eight-card booster packs and 22-card "battle packs".

Also, the cards can also be bought using a real money. the package mentioned above is equivalent to $14.99. The is also a choice where players can buy a "real" Skylander cards which can be imported to digital when taken a snapshot. 

The advantage of buying physical cards lies on the price. Instead of paying $14.99, gamers can purchase the collection for only $4.99 for booster packs and $9.99 for battle packs.
