The upcoming Titanfall sequel might introduce larger multiplayer maps and grappling hooks into the game by the time it goes on sale in October, according to leaked information posted on Reddit.

The Reddit post in question, titled "New Titanfall 2 information", is now taken down from the site, but Neogaf forumer piccio_ssl was able to get a copy of it before it is gone.

Reddit user ilovegoogleglass revealed on his post that Titanfall 2 will be released in October. "I've been sitting on some Titanfall 2 information that was shared with me, and I've finally got the go ahead to post," the Reddit user originally wrote on the site. If this info is real, the game will actually go head to head with another shooter game, EA's Battlefield 1.

The poster mentioned that there will be a lot of pilot abilities added to the game, including a grappling hook. "My source said you can use it quite extensively, for getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they're midair," the poster went on to say. The grappling hook addition got the most number of comments on both the original Reddit post and on the forums, with players excited about the idea of seeing free-running mechs in the game.

The Reddit poster also confirmed multiplayer maps are bigger, saying that this might mean that the number of maximum players will be adjusted as well.

The poster also mentioned that there will be a type of handgun called the Violator, which is included as the pre-order bonus for the game.

The Reddit user also included a leaked image, saying that this will be the box art for the game.

Titanfall 2 is scheduled for a worldwide reveal on June 12, a couple of days before Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3. The reveal will most likely be done at EA's Play event in London and LA, IGN reports.
