WWDC 2016: How Is Apple Going To Improve Siri?
Dheeraj RWith Apple's WWDC 2016 keynote opening, the popular voice assistant Siri is speculated to get a major upgrade. Until now, Apple did not allow third-party developers to access functions of Siri as in the ability to search based on the voice.
But, Apple's WWDC 2016 is now officially allowing these developers to access to this technology with the software development kit, reported Indian Express. Adding further to the voice-base capabilities, it would also be possible to book a cab on Uber or even check flights with Siri. Apple is increasingly pushing for the presence of its voice assistant Siri on its iOS platform. There are other voice assistants dominating the market. Google has its own version of voice assistant called as 'Google Assistant.' And Google did introduce a recent upgrade to its Google Assistant. Google Assistant offers provisions to book a table at the restaurant in the town, or even book a taxi ride for the user.
With Android dominating the market, Google Assistant has a major presence in the market. Google is trying to make Google Assistant even better by enhancing its abilities. It will soon have capabilities of machine learning and natural language to have a meaningful conversation with the users. It has even added 'Home' to further its capabilities, reported MarketWatch.
According to NDTV, Apples WWDC 2016 will unveil today. Apple's move to allow access to third-party developers may improve the utility of Siri. Apple is also concerned about the privacy of the voice-based data that is collected by Siri, and this is what held them back until now. This move from Apple means that other developers will integrate Siri along with other applications, and the usability of Siri will rise dramatically.
Major giants are seen to enter the league of Artificial Intelligence and Chatbot. Amazon has its own version called as Echo. Google has already got Home. Facebook is reportedly occupied on its own version of Artificial Intelligence-based assistant called as 'M.' These programs allow you to play music, answer some simple questions and also help you do easy tasks. Apple's current move is expected to match up the likes of Amazon's Echo and Google's Home.
