‘Rocket League: Neo Tokyo’ DLC News: Largest Update In The Game's History Launches This Month; Details Here [VIDEO]

Developer, Psyonix has recently announced that "Rocket League" will receive new updates and a DLC expansion called "Neo Tokyo" this June.

The publisher has announced that it will be the "largest update in the game's history." The DLC will feature a trade-in system within the game, which allows players to exchange some of their items into rarer ones, according to PC Gamer.

Bright neon lights, and retro-futuristic vibe of the game will welcome the players into the new updated surrounding. There will also be a new cyberpunk-inspired stadium, which was initially included in the company's playlist called "Rocket Labs" and known as "Underpass."

Psyonix boasts that the physics-based vehicle soccer game's Neo Tokyo update will produce a more detailed in-game environment and a better flow for the gameplay. It will also be a part of the Competitive Playlist on its release date, according to Rocket League.

Meanwhile, the company has shared some of the additional new features that will be part of the update. The "Season 3" for competitive playlist will reset all the player's rewards and skill rating. Also, a unique Rocket Trails will be present to show their highest rank from the previous season.

Players will be able to find 20 "very rare" and "rare" items for post-game drops and online. A new "painted" item type will also be available, which offers various color choices for Wheels and Toppers. Moreover, "certified" items was made to monitor certain in-game stats that also increases its prestige as it progress.

Furthermore, post-game celebrations will be available in the game so that the winning teams can take on the spotlight to show off their achievements through their car's ability. A new experimental arena called "Pillars" will showcase two huge walls at its center to divide the lane into three that challenges the players.

An in-game "showroom" will also be available so that players may view the latest and soon-to-be released premium DLC to purchase.

The "Rocket League: Neo Tokyo" DLC release date was set on June 20, while the physical version and four exclusive vehicles for PS4, PC and Xbox One will be launched on June 24, according to VG247.
