Although "The Originals" season 4 does not have a possible premiere date, theories regarding the next season are being discussed. Among all, fans are also expecting a crossover of "The Vampire Diaries" to happen soon.

When the premiere dates for "The Originals" were announced, fans were too excited to see Klaus in action. However, the anticipation was swiftly changed to confusion, once CW announced the fall 2016 schedule.

However, the good news is that "The Originals" have not been cancelled, but merely benched, and viewers will be able to see the return of Klaus Michaelson and his siblings soon enough.

Hence, now that the viewers know that the Michaelsons will be returning, the rumors mills have already started speculating about what the next season might hold for its viewers.

It is rumored that Klaus will return for this season. He might be in a pain induced coma and enclosed in a tomb, but that will not stop him from returning. Additionally, the question is how will Klaus behave when he wakes up?

One theory is that Klaus might return to the series as a monster. He has always been vicious, unapologetic, and wanted to impart fear in his followers. However, during the finale of "Season 3" Klaus was put on trial for his past behavior.

Previously, executive producer Michael Narducci spoke about season finale, and  what to expect from the show.

Elijah and Kol and Rebekah have all been daggered by Klaus, so he is benefited by putting them to sleep and putting them in a kind of time-out, and now they are relying on one of those time-outs, which will force him to be put down and to suffer greatly and to be alone and to be not with his family," Michael Narducci told Entertainment Weekly.

"One of the things that's at the core of Klaus' being is his desire to be with his family. Now, going into our hiatus, Klaus is alone, and it's terrible. It's the ultimate sacrifice, and it's something I don't think Klaus Mikaelson may have been capable of prior to the person we've started to show him to be on our series," he continued.

Meanwhile, Inquisitr has mentioned that there might be a possible crossover of "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals".

It seems that viewers will have to wait for the season 4 premiere to actually know how vicious Klaus can and will be.
