Playground Games and Microsoft announced "Forza Horizon 3" as the latest addition to their racing video game installments at the E3 2016 press conference event.

The game will feature an open-word environment set in Australia. Players can expect a wide range option of cars and competitive terrains on its release date set on Sept. 27 for both Windows 10 and Xbox One platforms, according to Niche Gamer.

The racing video game has set its trademark in showcasing beautiful locations in the world including the south part of France, Colorado and Italy. This time, Australian gamers were happy to know that their homeland will be featured next.

10 Studios Design Director Jon Knoles said, "When we choose a world for the Horizon series, geographical beauty and diversity are the kind of things we look for," reported News.com.au.

"Obviously, Australia has always been in our top three places for that kind of thing," as continued.

The developers kept in mind of having these factors when choosing a location for "Forza Horizon 3" and Knoles admitted that the country offers more than what they have developed for its predecessors.

"From the outback to Whitehaven Beach to Byron Bay and the 12 Apostles, Australia was the perfect fit for the open-world driving series," said Knoles.

"We have showcased the gleaming tall skyscrapers in Surfers Paradise, which is something we have never done before in Horizon."

"Then we also switch from this urban landscape and explore the beautiful tall tress and lush greenery found in the Maroondah rainforest. It's a dream come true," he added.

On the other hand, players may not only see a glimpse of Australia, but also encounter a new addition to its game play. It was reported that there will be a "Blueprint" mode, which allows players to create their own challenges and can be played together with their added friends, according to CGMagazine.

Furthermore, to keep the players entertained, Playground Games added new soundtracks, more radio stations, and an option for players to import their choice of music.

As of the moment, "Forza Horizon 3" fans and players have to wait for its release date in September to test new features and keep on racing.
