The hype about "Game of Thrones" season 6 finale has been overwhelming, especially when it was confirmed that there will be a two-part ending. The excitement grows stronger when episode 9 was entitled "The Battle of the Bastards."

The turn of events during the battle are as bloody as expected, but in the end, viewers are still shocked to witness Rickon Stark's death.

According to The Wrap, it looks like the demised character "was not that important." He was fakely murdered in season 2, but his passing on this episode could have brought tears to some. As the website wrote, "In death, Rickon is finally treated like a member of the family. He deserved better in life."

On the other hand, IGN wrote that the episode certainly delivered. Aside from Rickon's death, Sansa's sweet revenge on Bolton Ramsay really quenched the viewer's thirst.

In the end, the website stated that "The Battle of the Battles" was undeniably one of the most epic battles seen on television. The Starks have reclaimed the North and Daenerys finally got to soar with her dragons.

Now that the watchers have known that Jon Snow and Sansa Stark won the battle, how did they defeat Bolton Ramsay? The "very impressive, grueling, upsetting, and cathartic episode," as written by Telegraph, reveals that Sansa had a surprise attack to their enemy.

Sansa's secret reinforcements arrived in the shape of Littlefinger's Knights of the Vale. It was Sansa Stark who really defeated her ex-husband. Rickon and Bolton are gone on this episode, but also, Wun Wun the giant bid his goodbye to this season.

The last episode, which bears the title "Winds of Winter," is also expected to deliver. Stay tuned for more news about "Game of Thrones."
