Background Story

Widowmaker, real name Amelie Lacroix, is once the wife of Overwatch agent Gerard Lacroix, who is leading the operations against Talon. The terrorist organization had tried several times to assassinate Gerard, but failed miserably.

Talon then kidnapped Amelie and turned her into a sleeper agent, and was brought back into her normal life. Two weeks later, Amelie killed Gerard in his sleep.

She returned to Talon to allow them to turn her into a living weapon. Her old identity and her emotions stripped away from her, she is now the assassin called Widowmaker.

Abilities

Widow's Kiss - Widowmaker's main weapon, perfect for shooting enemies from a distance. It can also be fired in fully-automatic mode in mid-range

Grappling Hook - The grappling hook allows Widowmaker to expand her view of the battlefield by reaching vantage points, or to simply evade enemies

Venom Mine - Widowmaker can plant a poison gas mine on nearly any surface

Infra-Sight - This ultimate ability allows Widowmaker and her teammates to see the enemies behind walls and objects for a short period of time

Widowmaker Tips and Strategies

- The Widow's Kiss will deal more damage when it's fully charge, so we recommend waiting for it to be refilled to 100% for maximum effect. This should only take a second to charge.

- Know who your targets are. It is very important to know who to focus on. Take the support heroes out first, then defensive heroes. Offensive and tanks always go last.

- You will use your Grappling Hook. A lot. Widowmaker must move around consistently to find a new sniping spot , so it is imperative to master your Grappling Hook skills.

- Plant Venom Mines where enemies cannot see them. Ceilings are a very good spot, as enemies don't really tend to look up at all.

- Widowmaker's high damage output means that she will be able to trigger her ultimate ability more often. Use it as soon as it is ready, but make sure you are ready to shoot with your sniper immediately after.
