‘Sherlock’ Season 4 Cast News: British Asian Actor Sacha Dhawan Joins BBC’s Popular Drama

The filming for season 4 of "Sherlock" is on, and according to latest rumors, the production is looking for Benedict's Cumberbatch's younger version, who will be joining the set on June 27. Moreover, it is also rumored that Sacha Dhawan will be joining the cast of BBC's popular drama series.

Dhawan, who is of Indian origin has posted his potential involvement in the online portfolio, reported Desi Blitz.

In addition, "Mr Selfridge" actor also posted a link on Facebook quoting the news, and mentioned, "I couldn't be more proud of being a part of this, what an amazing team of people!"

Dhawan will be playing a character named "AJ" in the upcoming series of "Sherlock". Notably, this is not Dhawan's first venture into popular TV series.

He has earlier appeared in "An Adventure in Time and Space", a BBC drama, and NBC's sitcom "Outsourced".

Meanwhile, production has been looking for a young Sherlock, to portray the flashback version. In a casting call on Facebook, Nino Firetto Casting cites that the young actor must be at least 3'6" and 3'9" tall with dark curly hair and blue eyes.

This has led to speculations about the upcoming episodes of the drama series. Earlier it was speculated that viewers might see an appearance of the third brother, Sherrinford, which will cause tension between Sherlock and Mycroft.

Moreover, it was also speculated that Sherlock might also have a sister, who was briefly mentioned in the book by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

BBC One first premiered "Sherlock" in 2010 and the show has been popular instantly.

"Sherlock" Season 4 is set to premiere in 2017 and will have three episodes like the rest of the seasons. Aside from Benedict Cumberbatch, the show also stars Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss and Amanda Abbington.
