It is rumored that the plot of the "Minecraft" movie will revolve around finding a mystical artifact. Reports claimed that the movie would maintain the original concept of the video game i.e. blocks and adventures in order to find the magical object, Seed.

Metro reported that "Minecraft" movie plot would mainly focus on exploring different worlds, where the lead character, Steve, would be seen constructing weapons and shield in order to protect themselves from the enemies in other worlds.

Further, some rumors also hint at the possibility that the movie would probably showcase how the character's decision would affect his adventures like Order of the Stone, etc. in absolutely unanticipated ways. Neuro Gadget reported that Steve's appearance would be mostly human instead of the look in the game.

Meanwhile, few rumors tease the possibility that there will be two sequels to the "Minecraft" movie. Techno Buffalo reported that the mysterious blue-skinned aliens, who appear in the original game's end, would be seen in the second installment of the movie series.

After years of speculations, the release date for the "Minecraft" movie has been slated for May 2019 on the big screens. One of the developers, Mojang's COO Vu Bui, also teased that the movie would exceed fan's expectations with the help of an exciting story format.

"The 'Minecraft' movie will be released on May 24, 2019," said Vu, as reported by The Guardian. "The film will also be released in 3D & IMAX.  Three years might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome."
