The latest NBA trade rumors hint at the possibility that the Chicago Bulls might think of trading Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia 76ers for their center player Jahlil Okafor. Both the 76ers and Bulls are currently undergoing a rebuild situation and are looking out for players who can be the exact fit for their teams.

ESPN reported that the two teams have high chances of becoming trade partners by exchanging Jahlil Okafor and Jimmy Butler. These rumors about the possible trade have emerged as both the teams are dealing with major problems.

"Look, the Bulls and 76ers are both in odd places," said John Wilson, as reported by Sports Illustrated. "The 76ers are coming off of one of the worst NBA seasons in history, and the Bulls just traded away Derrick Rose and seem to be losing pieces of their franchise every single day."

The Chicago Bulls recently traded Derrick to the New York Knicks in exchange for three players, namely, Jerian Grant, Robin Lopez, and Jose Calderon.

Sports News reported that the Bulls is in deep trouble as there is no guarantee if the two other players from the team, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah, will return for the next season. It is rumored that the Chicago Bulls are in need of more players like Jahlil who can help carry the team in the upcoming basketball season by playing at the center position.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly planning to have a suitable player to play alongside their recent acquisition, Ben Simmons. This is reported to have prompted them to put Jahlil Okafor on the trading block. ANN reported that the 76ers are eying Jimmy Butler, who possesses the ability to score and defend on the field and is thus expected to amass huge points for the team in the new basketball season.

The other teams who are trying to acquire Jimmy in their team are reported to be the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves. Okafor was also rumored to be picked up by the Celtics for their no. 3 pick during the recent NBA Draft Event. But, the Boston team chose Jaylen Brown over the 76ers center player.

Even though possible trade between 76ers and Bulls is seen as highly possible, there is no official confirmation as of now.  Meanwhile, Butler teased the possibility that he will be playing for some other team in the new basketball season other than the Chicago Bulls.
