With rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and the Apple iPhone 7 doing rounds, few reports teased which one of the two smartphones will outperform the other in terms of specs and performance.

As per the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 vs. iPhone 7 reports, the former device is expected to undergo major design refurbishments compared to the latter. Be it processor or storage or design changes, iDigital Times reported that the Galaxy Note 7 will prove to be the best buy option.

The Samsung device is expected to lure in many customers this year with its number of exceptional specs including Iris scanner and wireless charging functionality. On the other hand, HNGN reported that the iPhone 7 will not sport exciting new features, which might affect its sales this year.

According to famous leaker Evan Blass, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will consist of many design improvements as compared to its predecessors. Forbes stated that the device will have a curved edge display and two front cameras, with the functioning for iris recognition. Moreover, the Note 7 will showcase a USB Type-C port, which will differentiate it from other phones including Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

In contrast, there are reports that the iPhone 7 will not sport many spectacular design and dimensions changes and will be similar to the iPhone 6s Plus. Few notable changes that the Apple device will feature are the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack and addition of Smart Connector. Additionally, Mac World reported that the upcoming iPhone will have a sleek chassis and redesigned antenna setup.

When it comes to display and performance specs, the Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 823 processor with 6 GB RAM capacity. Reports claimed that Samsung device's processor will be much more efficient compared to the 4.7-inch iPhone 7's A10 CPU with 2 GB of RAM. Both the device will also sport different internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 7 will feature the basic 64 GB storage option as against iPhone 7's 32 GB.

Meanwhile, with all the rumors suggesting that the iPhone 7 will not feature many considerable changes, recently leaked images have a different story to tell. Tech Worm reported that the Apple device will also sport IP68 water resistant and wireless charging functionality similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. This move is rumored to be Apple's strategy to beat the competition.

In addition to all the specs rumors, the release date reports suggested that the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be released in August 2016 whereas iPhone7 is rumored to be launched in early September 2016.

Overall, it is evident that the upcoming Samsung phone will have an upper hand in the Galaxy Note 7 vs. iPhone 7 faceoff.
