The reboot of the action-adventure series "Samurai Jack" has been welcomed with open arms in the Internet after 12 years of absence. In response, creator and director Genndy Tartakovsky recently teased that the season 5 of the series will soon be launched with a very different storyline, with the much-deserved ending to the series.

Genndy teased that the main antagonist of the series, Aku, might make a comeback in the "Samurai Jack" and thus hinted a darker reboot series. Reports claimed that the villain will appear in the flashback scenes. Game n Guide reported that the reboot will have a gloomier tone and will be only for the mature audiences.

Moreover, the first concept art from the reboot showcased Jack with clothes full of blood, wild eyes and a violent expression on his face. Polygon reported that the protagonist will be shown with new action moves in the upcoming "Samurai Jack" season 5, as he will have a possible fierce fight with Aku.

Details about the reboot of the action series were revealed at the Anime Con event in Los Angeles last weekend during the Toonami panel meet. This is where "Samurai Jack" director showcased an eight-minute video which provided a first glimpse of the upcoming season 5. Earlier in December 2015, Cartoon Network also revealed a small five-second teaser and hinted at the reboot of the series.

With all the rumors about the "Samurai Jack" reboot, there are no reports on the series' probable release date. The only thing confirmed is that the anime will be launched by the end of the year on Adult Swim, which is a cable set-up that operates every night on Cartoon Network.

Cartoon Brew reported that after the last aired "Samurai Jack" season, Tartakovsky was busy with many big projects. He directed movies like "Star Wars: Clone Wars" and "Hotel Transylvania."
