Following the roll-out of the highly-anticipated augmented reality game "Pokemon Go" last week, certain issues and glitches have been noticed and they have reportedly annoyed several players continuously.

Where could these disappointments come from? And how disappointing could they possibly get?

For months, a number of Pokemon fans were already on the look for the release date of the game from Niantic and The Pokemon Company as they were excited to get the feel of catching pocket monsters by doing a lot of walking around town.

However, their excitement might have been replaced with dismay when they experienced some issues, problems and glitches while playing "Pokemon Go."

Below are among the reported instances:

1. Faulty GPS.

According to GameSpot, the message "Please ensure location/GPS enabled and set to high-accuracy mode" has been appearing frequently.

Amid this issue, Niantic declared that they are "constantly working to improve GPS accuracy and stability. In general, GPS accuracy largely depends on the device you're using and your signal/connection strength."

2.  An error message always appears.

The "You already own this item" error message on Android devices has been among the "Pokemon Go" issues, problems and glitches that several players have raised.

3. Progress suddenly reverts to level 1.

This one must really be annoying, right?

4. The app is a battery monster.

While they admitted about the battery life issue, Niantic Labs assured fans that "We are working on a solution."

5. Servers are down.

Many "Pokemon Go" players claimed that the game servers have been down for several times.

6. Distorted audio.

A good game audio surely makes a difference when playing, but with the new game under the Pokemon line-up, it seemed that this is among the popular issues, problems and glitches.

In the meantime, security firm Proofpoint reported that they have fund a malicious "Pokemon Go" app that may infect the gamer's device.

Considering this, it advised that "Pokemon Go" players should only download the app from legitimate stores to avoid experiencing worse issues and glitches.
