The Boston Celtics recently acquired Miami Heat's shooting guard Gerald Green and has thus cooled off talks about other trades, according to the latest NBA trade rumors. Reports claimed that the recent deal made by the Celtics silenced the trade off rumors with the OKC Thunder's Russell Westbrook, the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin, or the Philadelphia 76ers' Jahlil Okafor.

Chat Sports reported that the Boston team are planning to discontinue their hunt for the upcoming NBA season. Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge revealed that no new big trades will be witnessed in the coming weeks even though he is open to accept new players. Reports claimed that the Celtics will have to offer their talented players in order to bring in the Thunder's Westbrook, the Kings' DeMarcus Cousins, or the 76ers Okafor, and they are not ready to lose players for the big trades.

"You'd have to give up a ton to get either one of those guys, or maybe when you look at it, it's something you'd do," said Ainge, as reported by Boston Herald. "But you really can't, because there's no guarantee you can keep them after this season. You can't take that kind of chance. And with the way the cap is going and the money that's out there, it makes no sense for guys like that to sign an extension now."

Apart from the thought that they might have to give away some of their talented roster in order to trade for the above mentioned players, it is rumored that the Celtics are also looking into not spending to much. However, Bleacher Report stated that the Boston Celtics might think of entering a deal with the 76ers' Okafor in order to make their roster even stronger.

In addition, there are also reports that the Celtics will also think of adding in one of the players from R.J. Hunter, James Young, and John Holland.
