With "Pokémon GO" going full steam ahead in many countries, the chase has now proceeded to winning gym fights. This guide offers a few tips to help players prepare, train, and win numerous gym battles.

It seems like the augmented reality game is not all about catching rare and legendary Pokémon, as US Gamer revealed that one of the core elements of "Pokémon GO" is gym battles. It is important to take note that players must reach at least level 5 to partake in rec center battles.

Upon reaching level 5, players must vow loyalty to a team of their choice - Team Mystic (Blue), Team Valor (Red) and Team Instinct (Yellow). Players must consider choosing a team based on the number of gyms in their location. In the game, Gyms are landmarks and places of interest in the real world, which have been assigned as gyms by the developer.

After successfully picking a team, players can now enter a gym of the same color, given that there are sufficient spaces available. Gyms initially have slots for three members. Players must then relegate one of their strongest Pokémon stationed in the gym to safeguard it from challengers.

If there are no more gyms left, players may need to take over an occupied gym instead. In order to have the most astounding shot of triumph, players must send their best six Pokémon into battle.

It should be noted that challengers must defeat all of the Pokémon trainers from an opposing gym and lessen its prestige level to zero for it to be taken over. According to Trusted Reviews, there are only two battling basics that players must keep in mind- Attacking and Dodging.

To unleash a typical attack, players must tap their phone's screen at whatever point an enemy Pokémon shows up. As players proceed to tap and attack, a blue bar will gradually begin to fill up. Players can then tap and hold the button to unleash their extraordinary assault at the point when the said blue bar is completely charged.

Dodging, on the other hand, requires players to swipe left or right to evade approaching assaults from the adversary. Since players can only restore their Pokémon's health once the battle is over, it is said that dodging can be an effective technique in conserving the players' life energy.

Successfully defeating every rival in a rec center will decrease the opponent's gym prestige by 2,000 points. Hence, free Pokécoins will be earned daily for holding and safeguarding a gym.
