C. de Lacy

As reported by Segment Next, Rocksteady Studios' "Batman: Arkham Knight" is finally a getting a Game of The Year edition release this coming August 5. This includes all the goodies that the game came had to offer.

The game will be listed at Amazon and EBGames which include the DLC below:

  • Catwoman's Revenge DLC: An additional story pack where players are in control of Catwoman after the game's main story.

  • The Four-Mission Season of Infamy: Most Wanted DLC

  • A Matter of Family DLC: This stars Batgirl, which lets players delve into a prequel story from "Arkham Asylum." Barbar Gordon teams up with Robin to save her father as he was kidnapped by the Joker.

  • Flip of a Coin DLC: Another additional story pack where players take control of Robin after the game's main storyline.

  • Additional and never before see Batman v Superman Batmobile Pack

The game is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only, though. The listing Amazon or EBgames didn't indicate the inclusion of a PC version and no trace of the Game of The Year Edition on Steam too.

As cringe-worthy as it seemed, "Batman: Arkham Knight" was one of the biggest disappointments in the history of PC game ports. It suffered from a number of issues like frame-rate inconsistencies, glitching and overall performance nuisances.

While issues are still present, there are lots of reviews which point that the game is somehow enjoyable in its current form on the PC version like smooth 1080p resolution, crisp and clear visuals and better frame rates.

However, it is still worth taking note that the game will still require a decent gaming setup as it may still show some stuttering on setups like i5 processors and with GPUs like GTX 970

Hopefully, the all the necessary fixes are rolled out in order to prevent the game from being dumbed down as compared to the console counterparts. Reviews on Steam already shifted to "Very Positive" and it's a good sign that the game might actually be playable now.

Stay tuned for more news about "Batman: Arkham Knight" and who knows, we might also get it for the PC? Here's to hoping that the Game of the Year edition becomes available for everybody else.
