The GoPro line of action camera might be bringing a big change with the GoPro Hero 5 as shown on the leaked tutorial video for the camera itself.

User named Konrad Iturbe posted the video Reddit and it showed an alleged leak video of the tutorial for the GoPro Hero 5. The filename suggested this may be true due to the fact that it is named "add_camera_hero5.mp4."

In the short video, several features had been shown like the alteration of the shutter, record button and a slot for optional LCD, extra batteries, or other accessories.

One of the most notable feature on the GoPro Hero 5 is the touchscreen function. This will control the camera's mic, Wi-Fi, and other options.

Also shown in the tutorial is the instructions on how to connect the GoPro Hero 5 to smartphones. Other supported devices are GoPro Smart Remotes and what seems to be an unannounced platform called GoPro Sniper.

However, in the video, no signs showed that the 60fps and 4K resolution as the only resolution and framerate selected was 1080p and 30 fps. It may suggest that this video could have been an old version of the GoPro Hero 5 or otherwise.

Other expected features are larger battery, deeper water proof capability down to 60 meters, and 3D captures.

It is also rumored that the GoPro Hero 5 is likely to be bundled with a the Karma drone. No official word from the company, but consumers relate the theory from the interview that GoPro CEO Nick Woodman had last month.

On top of these, GoPro is also going to be expanding its cameras' offered features from action camera and drones to virtual reality (VR).

The GoPro Hero 5 is expected to be released this coming September or as late as December, though there are no exact dates given on its actual release. Stay tuned for more updates and news.
