'Red Dead Redemption 2': How Will John Marston Return? Protagonist, Sequel Title Rumors We Know So Far
Developer Rockstar Games has always been good at keeping secrets about its upcoming games, and that includes the notorious sequel to "Red Dead Redemption," which is referred to as either "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "Red Dead 3."
All sorts of questions are swirling around the internet. When will the sequel come out? Is it "Red Dead 3" or "Red Dead Redemption 2"? Is Rockstar Games' even working on it in the first place?
Here we've gathered all the rumors and speculations made so far about the sequel.
"Red Dead Redemption" Sequel To Be Called 'Legends of the West'
One of the earlier rumors about the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel is that the next title will be called "Legends of the West." This rumor stemmed from an email reportedly sent to Fraghero by an anonymous source.
This source, which said that his information was obtained from an ex-Rockstar employee, claimed that the game is already in development for the past four years, and will contain more than one character and feature a much bigger open world than its predecessor.
Next Game Will Feature Multiple Protagonists
Supporting Fraghero's source, rumors have recently surfaced that the sequel will feature two or more lead characters, a pattern that is taken from Rockstar Games' other titles such as "Grand Theft Auto V".
According to Game Rant, the game will move away from the one - hero formula used in the previous "Red Dead" games and feature more protagonists this time around.
Will John Marston Make A Comeback?
Other fans have speculated that the next "Red Dead" title will be a prequel to "Red Dead Redemption 2," and protagonist John Marston will return to star in the new game.
This is the only way Marston can return in the new game because - sorry, spoiler alert - he died in "Red Dead Redemption."
Are we getting "Red Dead Redemption 2" soon? Watch out for updates.
