Samsung Galaxy C7 and Galaxy C5 were launched recently exclusively in China. PriceRaja (via GSMArena) reported that both the devices have now received the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) certification, suggesting that they will be released in the U.S. soon. Their comparison has suggested that both the phones are loaded with great specs like Snapdragon processor, AMOLED screen, Android OS but with some variations. In order to help you choose the best phone amongst the two, we have jotted down their specs and features.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 and Galaxy C5 reportedly consist of a full metal unibody chassis with curved edges. Also, both the phones sports fingerprint scanner on the top side. Both the devices, however, differ in terms of display, though. The Galaxy C7 sports a 5.7-inch screen with Super AMOLED capacitive display whereas the Galaxy C5 consists of a 5.3-inch screen with a similar display on board.
In terms of performance-related specs, the Samsung Galaxy C7 excels with its Snapdragon 625 processor as compared to the Galaxy C5's Snapdragon 617 chipset. However, both the smartphones consist of 4 GB RAM and are offered in two internal storage variants of 32 GB and 64GB, expandable up to 256 GB using a micro SD card slot.
The two Samsung devices also feature excellent graphics with the help of Adreno 506 and Adreno 405 for Galaxy C7 and Galaxy C5 respectively. Both the smartphones consists of similar camera specs of a 16-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera with additional specs like features touch focus, autofocus and face detection.
When it comes to the battery, the Galaxy C7 phone sports a 3300 mAh non-removable battery whereas the Galaxy C5 is packed with a 2600 mAh non-removable battery. The Galaxy C7 provides the users with the facility of fast battery charging, which is around 83 percent in 30 minutes with the help of Quick Charge 3.0 feature.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 has been priced for 2599 Yuan or US$ 390 whereas the Galaxy C5 phone is available for 2200 Yuan or US$ 330.
Nevertheless, to choose between the two phones will totally depend on your specs requirements and budget.
