'Pokémon GO' Gen 2 Predictions: More Legendary On The Way; No New Pokémon Until Early 2017?

"Pokémon GO" fans will have more time catching all the available Pokémon in the game right now as there are no plans to add new Pokémon to the game anytime soon.

The augmented reality mobile game "Pokémon GO" has been a smashing success since it was launched in July, with almost anyone from the most casual gamer to the hardcore Pokémon fan getting in on the fun.

With the game released more than a month already, it is not suprising that some people are now ready to catch new Pokémon, specifically from the second generation.

It will be an exciting addition to the game, since players will now be able to see more Eevee evolutions Umbreon and Espeon, plus five new Legendary Pokémon, Legendary Beasts Raikou, Entei and Suicune, and Tower Duo Lugia and Ho-Oh.

However, new additions are seemingly not high on Niantic Labs' priorities at the moment. This means that players may not even see Generation Two Pokémon in the game until early 2017.

According to Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke, the game servers are the team's ultimate priority right now.

"Working hard to keep the servers up for all of the Trainers out there," Hanke wrote on his Twitter account. "For us, that comes first."

"Please keep your game ideas and feedback coming," he said on the Niantic Labs blog. "We look forward to getting the game on stable footing so we can begin to work on new features."

With Niantic still trying to get its servers stabilized, the developers are now struggling to bring "Pokémon GO" to other countries like India and China. The team might just have their hands full with the servers alone, so new features would have to take a backseat for now.

Fans are now hoping that Niantic can fix the servers so they can focus on bringing more features in the game.
