According to the latest NBA trade rumors, the Sacramento Kings might opt to trade their small forward to the Houston Rockets in order to rebuild their roster. Another reason behind the possible Rudy Gay trade is that he will be a free agent next summer and the Kings will not be able to get talented player in return.

Furthermore, reports claimed that the Kings want to bring in young players into their team in order to improve their performance in the upcoming NBA season. Sports Rageous stated that the Kings are currently in talks with the Rockets management team and might ask for their future draft pick Trevor Ariza along with their shooting guards Corey Brewer and K.J. McDaniels in exchange for Gay.

According to the trade rumors, McDaniels might prove as the best deal option for the Kings because of his defensive on-court skills. It is reported that the 23-year-old player has an average of 29.5 minutes per game with 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game.

Meanwhile, there are reports that even the Rockets are looking forward to rebuilding their roster as they recently lost Dwight Howard to the Atlanta Hawks in the free agency deal. Reports claimed that Rudy Gay is expected to team up with Ryan Anderson, Clint Capela, and Nene Hilario and provide great frontcourt gameplay.

Even though the latest trade rumors point towards Gay's possible destination, few reports hinted that the 30-year old player wants to join the Miami Heat. However, it is stated that the Kings will not consider the Heat as an option because of the lack of tradable assets.

The other teams who have been reported to be interested in trading Rudy Gay are the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets. Stay tuned for more updates on the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets trade rumors.
