'Pokémon GO' Guide: How To Catch S-Rank Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Vileplume
Jazz RosinNext on our "Pokémon GO" guide, we will discuss how to get three of the most underrated Pokémon in the game: Nidoqueen, Nidoking, and Vileplume.
Why Should You Catch Nidoqueen, Nidoking and Vileplume
Nidoqueen and Nidoking are both ground and poison-type Pokémon, while Vileplume is a grass-poison type. These three commonly overlooked Pokémon boast high max CP and CP growths per level and is a great addition for your growing Pokémon collection.
These three are rated as S-tier Pokémon by Rankedboost and is currently up there with some of the most powerful Pokémon in the game like Lapras, Snorlax and the still missing in action legendary Pokémon.
Where To Catch Nidoqueen, Nidoking and Vileplume
All three Pokémon share a common type: poison. For poison Pokémon, the best place to start hunting would be in marshes, wetlands, and in some instances, near large industrial areas.
Nidoqueen and Nidoking are ground type Pokémon as well, and ground types can be spotted in the same places as rock Pokémon, which is usually in parks, farmlands, nature trails, quarries and in some occasions, golf courses.
Vileplume, on the other hand, is a grass-type Pokémon, and grass types usually spawn in meadows, golf courses, parks, basically anywhere with grass, for obvious reasons.
Getting Nidoqueen, Nidoking, and Vileplume via Evolution
Another way of getting these powerful poison-types is through evolution.
Nidoqueen and Nidoking's first evolution is Nidoran. For those who are not in the know, Nidoran is unique among first generation Pokémon as it has two types: male and female.
Nidoran female evolves into Nidorina, then into Nidoqueen, while Nidoran male evolves into Nidorino, then Nidoking.
To get Nidoran to evolve into its respective evolutions, it needs 25 Nidoran Candy for each type. Nidorina needs 100 Nidoran F Candy to turn into Nidoqueen, while Nidorino needs 100 Nidoran M Candy to evolve into Nidoking.
It sounds like a lot of work if you want to get both Nidoqueen and Nidoking, but the end result will be worth it.
For Vileplume, you need to evolve Oddish into Gloom using 25 Oddish Candy, and then turn Gloom into Vileplume using 100 more Oddish Candy.
Both Nidoran types and Gloom can be hatched from 5km eggs.
