The classic first-person adventure "Bioshock" gets the remaster treatment for current-gen consoles, but not all features have made the cut.

2K Games has recently announced that they will be releasing remastered versions of the first two "Bioshock" titles, "Bioshock" and "Bioshock 2," plus "Bioshock Infinite," in one neat package dubbed the "Bioshock Collection."

"According to 2K, all three games share a set of enhancements over their PS3 predecessors," SIEA Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman wrote on the Playstation Blog, "including increased texture quality, native 1080p resolution, and a higher framerate targeting 60 frames per second."

2K also said that all single-player add ons will be included in the remastered editions, plus a few more bonuses like interactive concept art and unlockable commentaries from creative director Ken Levine and lead animator Shawn Robertson.

"Bioshock 2," on top of sporting a new polished look compared to the original, will include the iconic "Minerva's Den," which is regarded as one of the best entries in the whole series.

However, the "Bioshock 2" multiplayer mode will not be featured in the remastered version, according to the blog.

According to The Verge, publisher 2K said that the PC version of "Bioshock Infinite" "already meets current-gen console standards."

True enough, the latest title in the series is the most graphically impressive among the three, and the new console version is also said to be of top notch quality.

Below is a comparison video released by 2K, showcasing the difference between the original "Bioshock" games and the remastered versions.

The whole "Bioshock: The Collection" spans two Blu-Ray Discs, and is a perfect must-have for any true-blue "Bioshock" fan. This will also be perfect for those who have not played any of the titles yet.

"Bioshock: The Collection" will be launched on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13.
