Fans of the "Diablo" series are said to be in for a treat as Blizzard prepares a possible major "Diablo" announcement at this year's BlizzCon.

Blizzard's annual video game convention is still more than two months away, but that does not stop the hype from building up as early as now. One of the most sought-after titles in this year's BlizzCon is the follow up to the "Diablo" franchise.

Now, fans are getting their hopes up. The official Diablo Twitter account seem to drop a subtle hint about what's coming up in BlizzCon this year, and it might be "Diablo" related.

Some "Diablo" fans have speculated that the rumored "Diablo 4" title will finally be announced at BlizzCon. This rumor has been circulating since late last year, and recently, Blizzard has announced a few job postings for an "unannounced Diablo project," adding fuel to the fire.

Blizzard then explained that the job vacancies, especially the one looking for a game director, were posted following the exit of "Diablo 3" game director Josh Mosqueira. As of the moment, the posting is still live, which implies that the vacancy is still not filled until now.

Some fans, however, are still skeptical whether a new "Diablo" is even in development at all. The "unannounced project" that Blizzard has posted may well be a totally different "Diablo" related project.

Some have also speculated that it could be another expansion for "Diablo 3," or maybe even an HD version or a remake of "Diablo 2." Both possibilities are said to be more realistic than "Diablo 4."

Apart from the hints dropped on the official "Diablo" Twitter account, another clue was sighted on Reddit a few weeks ago. Redditor Desolacer said that he received an email from Blizzard inviting him to buy a virtual ticket for BlizzCon 2016.

The email was accompanied with this screenshot, where the "Diablo" franchise is prominently displayed.

Whether it is a completely new title like "Diablo 4" or an HD remake of "Diablo 2," fans are sure to get exciting "Diablo" news soon. Meanwhile, all speculations must be taken with a grain of salt. BlizzCon 2016 will be happening on Nov. 4 and 5.
