Square Enix's "Dragon Quest 11" will be released on Nintendo NX according to the series creator himself, Yuji Horii, through an interview with Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream.

Courtesy of Gematsu's translation of the interview with the japanese magazine, Horii confirmed that "Dragon Quest 11" or "Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time" is already in the works. The game will be released as well on the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS all at the same time.

Horii explained that spoilers may break out if they release a version earlier, hence the simultaneous release for all the platform supported.

Horii also stated that releasing the game on different platforms with different different hardware is a big challenge for them.

"There are a lot of difficulties because of that. Each one has a different look to it, and there's also a PlayStation 4 version, so if we make a small fix then we have to fix it across every version." Horii told Masahiro Sakurai, director of "Smash Bros. Series, in the interview.

Nevertheless, there's no need to speculate as the fixed release date for the game will be on May 27, 2017.

Way back July 2015, Square Enix producer announced in a "Dragon Quest" event that the 11th game in the series is to be launched on the NX, which was still a console without a proper name at the time.

This would be the second time and a stronger reassurance to the fans that "Dragon Quest 11" will be making its way on the NX.

Along with the 11th game, the MMO game "Dragon Quest X" is also going to be released on NX. The game was only released on Wii on 2012 and Wii U on 2013. Neither of them got a US release, and hopefully, both games reach the North American shores.

Be sure to stay tuned for more updates and news about Nintendo NX releases and "Dragon Quest 11."
