The upcoming open-world hacking game "Watch Dogs 2" is shaping up to be an even better game than its predecessor.

The first "Watch Dogs," while given fairly high scores by critics, was panned by the players themselves when it was launched as Ubisoft's newest IP back in 2014.

With the official launch date of its new title just a few months away, Ubisoft's latest game is deemed to be better than the first "Watch Dogs." Here are the top reasons why "Watch Dogs" may be better than the original.

A New, More Interesting Lead Protagonist

This may still be subject to change once the game hits the shelves, but new lead character Marcus Holloway is looking to be more interesting than the protagonist of the first "Watch Dogs," Aiden Pearce.

Fans can't help but compare the two leads, despite all their glaring differences. So far, Marcus clearly beats Aiden in the personality department, but the fighting and hacking skills would still need to wait until the game comes out.

We would need to see and feel Marcus in action before we come up with our verdict.

A Bigger, Better Open World

Earlier reports have confirmed that the map of "Watch Dogs 2" will be way bigger than the original's Chicago setting. The new game will also do away with its publisher's penchant for unlocking areas, as everything in the map will be readily available to the player from the start.

"It's not a game where you open your map and everything's there," Creative director Jonarhan Morin told Eurogamer. "There are no towers. You just explore the world."

Better Online Multiplayer Modes

At Gamescom, Ubisoft announced its new online multiplayer modes for "Watch Dogs 2," and it is looking to be a much better experience than the original. Hacking Invasion will be coming back, this time with co-op, and there will be a brand new online mode in the game, called Bounty Hunt.

"Watch Dogs 2" will be launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15.
