Latest reports claimed that "Frozen 2" has been delayed. The air date for the eagerly anticipated sequel film has reportedly been pushed back to 2018 since the makers want the new soundtrack to surpass the remarkable success of "Let It Go."

Earlier reports claimed that the new duet could actually highlight Anna and Elsa's relationship after the events of the first installment. As per iTech Post, the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster film "Frozen" will presumably hit the movie theaters at some point in 2018.

What's more, speculations are rife that Disney is planning to launch "The Little Mermaid" and "The Beauty and the Beast" first before they release "Frozen 2." The upcoming live-action adaptation stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Emma Watson, respectively.

"They take a lot of time over there to just perfect it," Fab Newz quoted actress Kristen Bell, the voice of Princess Anna of Arendelle, as saying. "It has to go through a lot of development to make sure it's exactly the story that needs to be told."

The "Gracie's Choice" actress stressed "Frozen 2" story is extraordinary and that it exude quality. She elaborated, "They wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging, and I think they found it."

Despite the fact that Disney has not confirmed the story line for the upcoming sequel, speculations suggested that Elsa and Anna may become enemies. It is said that the latter would discover that she was an illegitimate child. It would presumably cause her to rebel and snatch the throne from her sister.

As of press time, Disney has yet to announce the official release date for the sequel movie. Stay tuned for the latest "Frozen 2" news and updates.
