NBA Trade Rumors: Will Washington Wizards Be Kings' DeMarcus Cousins New Destination?

The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that Washington Wizards might bring in Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins before the start of the new season.

Sports Rageous reported that the Wizards are planning to reshuffle their roster and bring in more attuned players, which will benefit the team's overall performance in the game arena. The trade rumors in connection to Cousins surfaced because of his great compatibility with Wall.

It is stated that Wall and Cousins had earlier played together for Wildcats team in 2010 during the NCAA Tournament. There are reports that adding Cousins will help the Wizards to improve their roster with his on-court offensive and defensive and thus help the team to become one of the best teams in the Eastern NBA league.

Moving on, reports claimed that one of the reasons behind this rumored trade is the on-court rift between Wizards point guard John Wall and shooting guard Bradley Beal. Rumors hinted that Wall was also not happy with the Beal's huge five-year $127.2 million contract with the Wizards this offseason.

On the other hand, Chat Sports reported that even Sacramento Kings are looking to trading Cousins because of his issues with the team's management. Also, the Kings want to trade Cousins before the upcoming NBA season as he will hit the free agency next year and then they will not be able to get a talented player in exchange for him.

However, if Cousins does not end up in the Washington Wizards, the other possible destinations for him are stated to the Chicago Bulls, the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

On the contrary, there are reports that the Kings and the Wizards deal might happen after January 14, 2017, as Beal recently signed his new contract. However, no official confirmation has been given by both the teams as of now.

Stay tuned in here for updates and NBA trade rumors.
