'Pokémon GO' Update, Release Date: Tracker Fix, Trading System Coming In October? Buddy System To Launch This Week?

It looks like Niantic Labs is set to release a huge update for its popular augmented-reality mobile game "Pokémon GO" very soon.

According to Pokémon GO Hub, Niantic Labs is probably working on the highly anticipated Trading system for "Pokémon GO," a feature that is said to entice players to get back in the game.

This speculation was made based on Niantic's latest update regarding the buddy system, which is "just around the corner," according to the developer. Towards the end of the blog post, the team said that they have "a lot more in the works this fall," and fans can only conclude that the much awaited trading system is finally coming to the game.

The proof that the feature is about to be implemented soon is said to be in the game's codes, which was data mined by a Reddit user.

Pokémon GO Hub predicted an October 2016 release date for the trading feature. The site also said that Niantic may finally fix the game's currently broken tracking system prior to the trading feature launch.

Another anticipated feature, the buddy system, is hotly tipped to be out this week, according to Slash Gear. Walking Buddy Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" will award trainers with Candy, and only one Buddy Pokémon can be assigned at one time.

The site predicted that the feature will be launched today, possibly to coincide with all the new Apple announcements, which includes the big iPhone 7 reveal and the release of "Pokémon GO" on the Apple Watch. Niantic has yet to announce any updates as of press time.

Apart from trading, buddy system and the hopefully improved tracking feature rumored to launch soon, people are also anticipating a new batch of Pokémon to be added to the game.

Unfortunately, there are no hints in the recent data mined codes about the addition of Generation Two Pokémon in "Pokémon GO."

Watch out for more "Pokémon GO" news and updates.
