Sony Xperia XZ vs Apple iPhone 6s Review: Which Is Better The Better Option?
Kirsten KaneSony is back with the Xperia XZ as the newest flagship entry in its roster. According to Tech Times, it has everything a smartphone enthusiast could want from specs to battery and from camera to a post design.
With the new Sony Xperia XZ getting some hands-on reviews, let's look at how it fares with the top-of-the-line, currently-available Apple iPhone 6s to see which one has more advantage.
Sony Xperia XZ's body is made of a new kind of aluminum alloy called Alkaleido. It is slightly glossy and warmer than your regular metal smartphone.
Similar to the other Sony smartphones, the Xperia XZ is rectangular in shape, but the company has added curves around the sides of the phone.
Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone 6s is shaped like that of a "flat soap bar, "as reported by Phone Arena. It's small, thin and easy to handle with aluminum body that is cool to touch.
While the iPhone 6s has a 7" full HD display, the Xperia XZ has a 5.2" screen which makes the Apple phone easier to handle. However, the Xperia XZ has a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, making it a crisp pixels per-inch density of 424, compared to the iPhone 6s with only 750 x 1334 pixel resolution, for a 326 pixel density.
Both devices feature a fingerprint scanner with the iPhone 6s on the Touch ID home button and the Xperia XZ on the side power button. The Sony Xperia XZ has a 2-step camera shutter key which makes it nice.
Moreover, the Sony Xperia XZ has a remarkable 23megapixel rear camera and 13megapixel front camera. It has improved its image stabilization, autofocus, exposure handling and dynamics. The iPhone 6s has only 12megapixel camera but is still a reliable, flagship-class camera, which manages to race with its competitors.
The iPhone 6s uses the iOS 9 operating system, and is easier to use than the Xperia XZ interface.
The Xperia XZ stores the greatest quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and 3GB of RAM, while the Apple A9 in the iPhone 6s is a beast in its own right with 2 GB of RAM, the Phone Arena said.
Furthermore, the Sony Xperia XZ comes with 32 GB of memory and allows for expansion through microSD. The iPhone 6s is coming in three tiers of 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB, with each one costing $100 and no expansion slot is on board.
Overall, the Sony Xperia XZ and the iPhone 6s are among the good high end specs smartphones for today's generation. Choosing either of the two will still depend on your needs.
