MacBook Pro 2016 Rumors: Release Date Happening In October? Device To Sport OLED Touch Bar?
Dheeraj RApple's CEO Tim Cook recently teased that the new MacBook Pro 2016 might be soon launched. Reports claimed that Cook replied to the mail sent by an Apple device lover to enquire about the future of the Mac series and hinted the release date will happen before the year ends.
"I love the Mac and we are very committed to it," wrote the Apple CEO, as reported by Mac Rumors. "Stay tuned." On the basis of the mentioned statement, rumors suggested that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will be released at the company's technical event in October. However, there is no official information about the release date of the new MacBook device.
Apart from the release date reports, BGR stated that the upcoming Apple device will sport a slimmer and lighter chassis as compared to its predecessors. It is also expected to be launched with an OLED Touch bar instead of function keys above the keyboard, which will allow the users to dynamically use the application functions from the touch bar.
Furthermore, reports claimed that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will consist of a trackpad integrated with the fingerprint scanner in order to provide the users with added security measures. It is touted that the latest Apple device will also sport a high-resolution 5K display panel to provide the users with enhanced graphics performance.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to consist of Intel's upcoming Kaby Lake chipset AMD's latest Polaris 11 graphics silicon chips, which is rumored to make the Apple device even thinner as that of its earlier installments.
In terms of software specs, the new laptop is expected to run on the upgraded macOS Sierra software, which will introduce new features to the Apple device like the personal assistant Siri and Apple Pencil-compatible trackpad. Also, the new Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to consist of a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 function for facilitating the users with faster data transfers and charging, reported Bloomberg.
