'Pokémon Sun And Moon' Leaks: Gen VII Mega Evolutions To Be Included In The Game?

"Pokémon Sun and Moon," despite just being a few more weeks before the official release date, is still getting tons of revelations. One leak suggested the inclusion of Mega Evolutions, but how accurate can this be?

On top of the unique twist that the Alolan version of a variety of normal pokémon from different generations, Mega Evolutions might also be thrown in the mix. One information from redditor name named Dragon_Fang posted a said "leak" from a trustworthy source from Smogon Forums called "Cresselia."

The source sites some magazine scans, which hints believable theories regarding the inclusion of the mega evolutions, especially the following images that can be found here and here.

Redditor Dragon_Fang was able to verify the information, despite being written in Japanese characters by carefully matching the name of the pokémon named Mega Sanaito as shown on this image.

As per Dragon_Fang's claims on the subreddit, the magazine states that the pokémon Jungmo-o got a Soundproof skill, which can counter Sylveon and Mega Gardevoir's Hyper voice. This indicates a stronger reason for including a Mega Evolution given that there's no known pokémon powerful enough to block the Hyper Voice specifically, regardless of having a Soundproof ability.

Mega Evolutions were part of the prior pokémon game called "Pokémon X and Y," particularly in Kalos region, where the Mega Stons can be found. Those who would like to mega evolve their pokémon need only to use the Mega Stone. This greatly surpasses the initial limitations of a pokémon plus the possibility of alternate abilities and types.

With these information, redditor lugiamaster3 theorizes that Mega Evolutions wouldn't still be a bigger part of the game's story. The Z-Moves will most likely be the focus of the game even with the possibility of the Mega Evolutions happening at Alola region.

Be sure to stay tuned for more news and updates on the upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon," which will be released this coming November 18.
