Dheeraj RAfter no-show at the recent IFA 2016, the latest rumors suggested that the Apple iPad Mini 5, also expected to be called as the iPad Pro Mini, might be released in March 2017. Reports from the popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicated that Apple might launch three new iPad models next year.
PC Advisor reported that if the Cupertino-based technology giant follows its launch pattern similar to this year, then the release date of the iPad Mini 5 might be happening on March 2017.
Apart from the release date rumors, reports touted that the iPad Mini 5 is expected to consist of the Series 7000 aluminum chassis, which will make the device more durable. It is also rumored to be launched with a lighter body panel compared to its predecessors, and waterproof and dust-resistant additional protection.
Furthermore, it is rumored that the upcoming Apple device will feature the 3D Touch technology with a pressure-sensitive touch screen and the Retina display panel, which will provide users with an enhanced interface to work on. As far as the hardware specs are concerned, the gadget might sport A9 chipset along with M9 co-motion processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
In terms of software, the upcoming iPad Mini variant is expected to run on the latest iOS 10. In addition, the Mini 5 might consist of the Apple Pencil stylus along with battery capacity of more than 5,124 mAh.
Meanwhile, few reports hinted that the upcoming iPad Mini 5 might be priced at around $412 to $750 based on its variants. However, Apple has not officially confirmed any details about the specs or the price of the new iPad Mini variant. Hence, all the rumors should still be taken with a grain of salt.
