"Dawn of War 3" was a playable title at this year's EGX 2016 at The Nec, Birmingham. Fans and numerous publications were able to try the game out and the reactions are what you'd expect from those who had been waiting for the game for so long.

Online news site Bit-Tech already branded "Dawn of War 3" as their best game at the recent EGX 2016 for quite a number of reasons. They were able to try out a playable demo of the game and "Dawn of War 3" is a cure for those yearning a solid gold strategy game.

What stood out in their hands-on review of the game was how "Dawn of War 3" preserved the classic feel while showcasing AAA quality. The game looks like something that will be a proper sequel from the prior games it rooted from and unlike other RTS.

User "Blessed Spartan" from dawnofwar.info also got a first-hand experience of "Dawn of War 3" at the EGX 2016 event and even made a list of all the improvements and preserved core mechanics like the Special Attack. The sync kills, however, is gone in this sequel.

The vehicles also got some overhaul, particularly the tanks and flying units. In terms of footmen, grenades are now clearer and easier to find, but is not as easy as dodging.

The graphics also got some upgrade by adding even more animations and "visual cues." It is now easier to figure out what exactly is going on due to how exaggerated things are, which easily gets the players' attentions.

Almost everything is inspired from the first "Dawn of War" game according to the poster, indicating that the things that made "Dawn of War 1" great as well as the second one were combined together to form the third installment in full HD with visuals that match the standards of today.
