"Ray Donovan" season 4 ended in a very peaceful way that gives hope for Ray (Live Schreiber) and his family. Now that the family moved to a new place, it looks like season 5 will appear as a fresh start.

"Ray Donovan" clearly wiped the slate clean in Sunday's season 4 finale, wrapping up several major plot threads, especially the Russian mob plot. As a result, the episode is reportedly wrapped up on an uncharacteristically hopeful manner.

According to latest spoilers, the next sequel of American television series will embody the overriding sentiment of honesty and family support in the face of tribulations.

"I felt like it was time for Ray and his family to come to a place of acceptance. And, whatever happens next, it gives us a relatively blank page to go to a new place with them," showrunner David Hollander shared.

Moreover, reports also confirmed that after Ray and company's bout with the Russian mafia, the new installment will focus on Hollywood.

Hollander revealed during his interview on TV Line about the key sentiment that will course through in the upcoming "Ray Donovan" season 5.

"I am very interested to see what happens when the Donovan family actually attempts to work together in more unison in the world of Hollywood. I would love to do a very grand Hollywood story," Hollander added.

Further spoilers also revealed that viewers will get to see more of Ray embracing his newfound relationship with God. Ray will now believe that his problems will have solutions and that is through his family. He sees God in his family.

Meanwhile, rumors about season 5 being the finale season of "Ray Donovan" are rife. Hollander reportedly agreed that he could see the end for the show. However, there were no official announcement about that from Showtime network.

"Ray Donovan" is set to receive an award at the Catholics in Media Associates 23rd annual awards event on October 9, while its season 5 is slated for release on 2017.
