The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin and the Acer Aspire Switch Alpha were launched earlier this year. Both of these 2-in-1 devices that can be used as laptop or tablet run on Windows 10.

The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin comes in two variants, 13.3 and 15.6 inches, while the Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12 has a size of 12 inches. Both variants of the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin are denser than the Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12.

The Notebook 7 Spin offers 1080p resolution and 141 pixels per inch. When it comes to the Switch Alpha 12, the offer is a solid resolution of 2160 by 1440 pixels which computes to 216 pixels per inch.

Coming to the processor, the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin can be configured with Intel Core i5 or Core i7. According to Mobile Phone Review, the choice of intel core processors includes i3, i5, and i7 for the Switch Alpha 12.

As mentioned in Digital Trends, Samsung has taken advantages of space on the sides of the laptop. An HDMI port, 3 USB-A ports, one USB-C port is available in both variants of the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin. The bigger variant has Ethernet option as well. When it comes to the Switch Alpha 12 model, it is one USB 3 port, 2 USB ports, and an audio jack.

The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin comes with has more RAM capacity than the Acer Model. Considering the processor and memory capacity of both models, Samsung Notebook 7 Spin is a clear winner when it comes to computing power.

Compared to the Alpha Switch model, the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin has higher storage space , while the upgradable options are better in the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin.

When it comes to battery, the Acer Aspire model has a better life than the Samsung variant. Fast charging is possible for the Samsung model, but the battery life seems to be lot more desired.

The Acer Alpha Switch model comes with a built-in kickstand. A battery powered Acer Active Pen stylus supporting 256 levels of pressure is also available for users for an additional charge.  One of the big features of the Acer Alpha model is it does not have a fan and makes use of the innovative liquid cooling system to keep its inside cool at the required temperature.

The computing power, as well as the storage options, are the bright points for the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin. The Acer Switch Alpha has appeal over the other points.
