South Korean actor Lee Joon-Gi, 34, has expressed deepest gratitude to the supporters of the SBS historical drama "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo."

With only 7-episode left, SBS has released an interview with Lee Joon-Gi, who portrays the aloof and reserved 4th Prince Wang So - also known as "wolf dog" to others. In the interview, as cited by The Kpop Herald, the 34-year-old Hallyu star shared his thoughts on the show's extreme popularity in the Middle-East and in the North America.

"I'm extremely grateful," said Lee. "Every culture is different and they have different tastes. I'm glad we satisfy their tastes, and it also really interests me."

The "Joseon Gunman" actor added that he feels truly encouraged when he read pleasant feedback and empowering comments on his social media account. He stressed, "I feel like I want to be a better actor."

Much to the delight of many, Lee also detailed his unique relationship with the time-travelling heroine, Hae Soo (IU), who goes back in time from the 21st century to the Goryeo Dynasty. He stated Hae Soo is the only person that saw 4th Prince Wang So for what he truly was.

"He's also most honest when he's around her," Lee explained. "She's somebody that he wants to protect, and he feels he is being protected by her as well. She's the first person that has treated him kindly and warmly so his feelings for her are becoming more and more pronounced."

Lee Joon Gi then further warned fans to expect a stronger and more decisive 4th Prince Wang So in the coming episodes of "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo." From being the most neglected prince, the aloof and reserved forth prince all of a sudden turns into the focal point of attention.

"He was a self-conscious and introverted boy before but now he's gonna show a more strong and assertive character," Lee teased. "He will tackle betrayal, jealousy, romance and more so keep watching!"

"Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 PM (KST).
