Samsung has been mum about the Galaxy Tab S3's release date. However, speculations regarding its features and specifications continue to surface online.

Now, rumors suggested that the new device will be launched mid of 2017 as the South Korean tech company applied before the FCC for certification.

According to Nuero Gadget, the new device will be "powered by a chipset with greater capacity and sport a new and more interactive OS."

The GMS Arena also reported that the tablet has comparable qualities to its predecessors, the Galaxy Tab S2; however, it is more developed and improved.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Tab S3 will feature an AMOLED screen which has 8-inch and 9.7-inch variant. It is expected to come out with an octa-core Exynos 8890 chipset just like Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge compared to the Galaxy Tab S2, which is equipped with Exynos 7 Octa 5433 chip.

Another report from BGR said that the upcoming tablet will sport "an 8-megapixel primary camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera up front" and is expected to use a Micro-USB instead of USB-C port for charging its internal battery of 4,000mAh for Tab S3 8-inch and 5,870mAh for Tab S3 9.7-inch. However, there were rumors saying the device might likely use USB Type C as the company has already featured it on Galaxy Note 7.

Moreover, the device is said to house 4GB of RAM and an internal storage options between 32GB and 64GB with the option to expand the storage capacity to up to 128 GB via microSD card. The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 operating system with a desired upgrade to the Android 7.0 Nougat.

It was speculated that the price for the Samsung Tab S3 will reach up to $ 420. Samsung, however, is yet to give official updates on its new tablet device.
